I just adore GdT. I’m excited about The Hobbit, but a bit disappointed that he’s not doing Mountains of Madness as promised; we need a proper Lovecraft film, dammit! Have you seen some of his older Spanish language films? Cronos and the Devil’s Backbone are both amazing.

So, are you going for it then?

I’m almost tempted to upgrade, but the price hike is quite substantial. My 700 was cheap enough (about €270 I think, thanks to being a sole trader) for me not too worry too much about it getting bumped around in my bag. The screen *is* small, but it’s fine for what I’m using the thing for – writing, surfing, watching movies/reading eBooks in bed, light webdev work, and all that. I think I’ll wait ’til my little dude is battered beyond belief and then upgrade at some point in the future – when the competition has quadrupled and everyone and their dog is making ultra-portables.

That 1024×600 res is tempting, though.
